The Agricultural Advisory Centre

in Brwinów, with Branch Offices in Kraków, Poznań and Radom, is a government institution subordinated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Centre is an operator that cooperates with agricultural advisory organizations, government and self-government administration institutions, professional associations, research and development units, as well as other entities working for the development of agriculture and rural areas in Poland. The purpose of current activities is the improvement of knowledge and qualifications of advisory staff as well as increase and unification of standards of services provided by advisers for farmers and other rural dwellers.

We develop

skills of regional advisory centres’ staff, as well as teachers of agricultural colleges, the representatives of educational and agricultural institutions and organizations, chambers of agriculture, the Local Action Groups, farmers and other rural dwellers by organising training courses, seminars, conferences, competitions and other forms of vocational development.

We inform

about the opportunities and conditions of obtaining European Union aid funds.

We create

the national network for innovation in agriculture to building communication channels and database system for:

• agricultural, organic farming and forestry advisers,
• wildlife experts,
• farms,
• research institutions,
• knowledge transfer network,
• innovation brokers.

We publish

educational and informational materials and professional, research based,  quarterly magazine "The lssues of Agricultural Advisory".

We carry

Specialised training courses and examinations for agricultural, environmental advisers and wildlife experts enabling them to obtain specific qualifications and following certificates in order to provide services to farmers willing to benefit from the measures of the Rural Development Programme.

We are the leaders in running

• The Practical Training Centre for Small Food Processing, in which we train advisers and farmers to process, add value and market agricultural produce from farm to customer.
• The Ecological Demonstration Farm, which is the experimental and development unit for practical training in organic farming.

We work

for the development of rural areas by provision of technical services for:  

- off-farm income generation,

- farmer enterprise development,

- rural business development,

- rural heritage,

- rural tourism,

- rural households.

We partner

in numerous projects EU and Polish government financed e.g. Horizon 2020, Biostrateg, Interreg, National Rural Network, Regional Development Fund.

We promote

the latest scientific achievements supporting development of agriculture and rural areas.

We organize every year

• The national contest “The Way to Success" promoting entrepreneurship in rural areas,
• The national contest "The Best Organic Farm",
• The Agricultural Science Festival,
• The National Agritourism Symposium,
• The National contest "The best news magazine of regional agricultural advisory centre",
• Agricultural Innovation Forum matching lead farmers, researchers and entrepreneurs to build their innovative potential and absorption capacities,
